  1. We have finally decided to go ahead with creating our own mod for our servers. We have the ability to change the text in the bottom left.

     

    You can have your suggestion on there. Just comment down below a short phrase that you would like to have.

     

    Example: Why do I keep getting kicked? *kicked* Wrong signature.

    Added:

    Perk and XP System. There are currently 25 way to earn XP.

     

    Changed:

    Traders to match new mods.

    Mission loot to match the new mods.

    Loot table to match new mods.

    VG App only shows needed information.

    Added ERCO to the 200k loadout.

    Max view distance to 2700m.

    Removed useless map edits and removed the building limits from them.

    Removed EBM Flag from traders.

     

    Fixed:

    Mission announcements displaying the wrong information.

    Other random misc stuff.

  3. So the time has come again to change mods. We are forced to do this due to MAS possibly crashing the server. Also, the mod is extremely buggy.

     

    All MAS Vehicles and Weapons will be deleted from the server. All you need to do is sell them.

    Vehicles that look like they are from Arma 2 are MAS and they need to be sold.

    Weapons aren't really that important since they are not worth much, but launchers and some snipers are probably worth selling. Any weapon with a crap looking inventory image is MAS.

    Admins can provide support if needed. This help will only be offered via TS or Discord as this will make it much easier for the Admins.

    Nothing else is being deleted!

     

    This change is happening on Tuesday 12th December. 3PM Restart! It was going to be at a later date but this needs to be done now.

     

    The new mods being added are the following:

     

    There will be some other changes, the changelog will come out on the day of the mod change.

    I have done a few things that should help with performance, those changes will come when the new mods have been implemented. (Coming very soon)

    After all that is sorted, then I will work on some more things. But please do note that I can't change much as the server has been up awhile now and changing anything major won't be fair for anyone that is setup on the server.

     

    For the time being,  will try my best to help get better performance. Like you said, the amount of new players has been crazy and with all the new bases/vehicles being placed around the map defiantly does not help. 

  5. We have been testing different things to see if we can find the cause of the random server crashes. During our testing, we found that MAS Vehicles/Weapons seems to be the cause of the crashing.

    We then removed the mods from the server and done some more stress testing. With the mods removed, we never experienced any crashes.

     

    Server with MAS mods = Randomly crashes

    Server without MAS mods = No random crashes

     

    So basically, we are forced to removed these mods. But fear not, we have a plan! These mods will be replaced with other mods and this is where you can help.

    If you have a mod suggestion in mind, then please let us know. The mod must be on the A3Launcher.

     

    Here are the mods we are thinking of implementing:

    More effective ways would be,

    turning off simulation on the custom content,

    reviewing the current cleanup scripts ,

    Setting a lower max viewdistance,

    Lowering Max players,

    etc.

     

    1). Anything that doesn't need simulation is turned off already. I do think we have way too many objects and it is hitting performance a bit.

    2). The current cleanup scripts help a lot but I do plan to add more, just have other things to do before.

    3). Yes if we turn it down then we would see some difference in performance but I think it's currently the correct distance.

    4). We did have 55 slots but then a hell of a lot of people wanted more (Probably cause they didn't have a reserved slot).

     

    There is a lot that can be done to help performance but I can only do it when I have time and it's difficult to do some stuff I want to do without wiping...

  7. Updated the server with the "Hotfix".

     

    Fixed:

    Possible weapon disappearing bug.

    Deployed Vehicle cleanup randomly cleaning up at the wrong times.

    SafeZonePlus Godmode not applying in some cases.

     

    Changed:

    Prisoner Magazine #3 and #4 have a slightly better chance of spawning on the Radiation island.

    Incoming Missile Warning. Also should appear faster.

    Mission cleanup times.

     

    Removed:

    Anti-Combat Logging. Was not fair on the legit players.

    "NO PVP ZONE" Triggers. (On screen messages). This is not good for performance.

    That is a good website for seamless textures and they are free to use :5_smiley:

     

    Base Painting textures are a thing we also wanting to implement. I have already have around 400 texture ready to be added for Base Painting. Also cheers for the website, sure we can use some from there :6_smile:

  9. Exile server updated to 1.78 and should be stable now :6_smile:

    These changes were made over the past week and hopefully I will have more time now to bring new stuff to the server!

     

    Fixed:

    Vehicle repairing.

    Database not cleaning up correctly.

    Diver spawn loadout now has the correct uniform.

    Hacking sometimes gave out errors.

    SafeZonePlus fail safe check to make sure players get kicked out of vehicles they don't own.

    Tuning Shop issues that caused vehicles to blow up on exit.

    Vehicles can be tuned without having to wait until restart or storing it in a VG.

     

    Changed:

    Inmate Market can no longer overload players lockers.

Example would be the apartment type buildings in cherno. How "complete" is this DS houses, and are these buildings bullet proof?

     

    If I may add a mod suggestion, it would be Enhanced movement, just due to the fact, the amazing parkour skills basically, and being able to climb up on buildings. Which would make pvp more suspense. But, I also know that many server do not like the mod, because apparently it makes it easier for people to glitch into other's bases....(or so i've been told)

     

    I believe DS Houses is well made. So I'm sure the houses have no issues with bulletproof windows and such.

     

    Also, if we do add it, then the loot positions will be added. So all buildings will have loot spawns. Kinda pointless to add it and only do a half done job :1_grinning:
