Is griefing a base you've raided illegal?

Anything not mentioned in the rules should be legal until stated otherwise by the rules and/or staff. Depending on your definition of greifing, it could be legal or illegal. So if you want to define griefing I could tell you in more detail.

  2. Below you will find a complete list of the exact names of all MAS vehicles on the server. Black Market vehicles are quite expensive so I would recommend getting those sold off first if you have any. :)

So, MAS is the NATO_Rus_Weapons mod and the NATO_Rus_Vehicle mod, right? What about RHS (Red Hammer Studios)?

RHS has denied servers with a monetization scheme (Premium, Reserved Slots, etc.) to use their mod on servers. The same issue we had with CUP. So the both of them can unfortunately not be used.

  4. Personally don't find it hard to find people in Town CPs. People tend to stick to a few specific and obvious spots in the various towns. For the people who are doing the missions themselves DS Houses will most definitely make the Town CPs easier and more interesting.

As for it being pointless one could argue all mods are pointless. Do we need NIArms? No, Arma 3 has a good selection of guns, but it adds to the experience. Do we need MAS vehicles? No, again Arma 3 has a decent variety of vehicles, but here too it adds to the experience. Same applies to DS Houses, question is does it add to the experience? Personally I would say yes, it makes for more interesting gameplay inside Town CPs and make them that much harder to do, which in my opinion is a good thing as most CPs are incredibly easy to do at the moment with a group. For single players it's difficult to deal with the AI in a town CP, having places to hide makes it a bit easier. As for PvP I feel houses are more interesting, gives the little guys a bit more chance.

  5. As an Arma 3 player who didn't play Chernarus much in Arma 2,  I personally feel DS Houses would bring Chernarus more in-line with what Arma 3 is like. With that said, DS Houses may also make capture points pretty wild. All in all I would personally be in favor of DS Houses though.

  6. You can also, if you want to, go to the Concrete Mixer on the map to mix all your base parts. This is free and you wouldn't of had to pay for it. There's a risk and there is a reward. You can take the safe route and cash out on a Concrete Mixer for your base, or you can take the more risky route for free.

As for your specific problem, you could probably just place 4 walls in a square without a floor and that should do it. Things will spawn down on the terrain for you to pick up. You can move these walls later on when you do not need them anymore.

  7. Thanks for the suggestions! :5_smiley:

We've had a few of these before, with varying success rate. The Convoy for example was quickly stopped due to the abundance of rocket launchers and didn't really work out that well. Hehe The others are good ideas though, any more suggestions would be very welcome as well. :12_slight_smile:

  8. Having 2 separate leader boards, one for monthly and one for all time I think is a great idea. There is however one thing that is kinda worrying, for me personally at least, and that is that camping Spawn Towns (Balota comes to mind) is pretty much the best way to get the most kills. So I feel with incentives to get the most kills so high, that might make people even more inclined to spend their entire day in Spawn Towns and thus make the missions and server feel kinda empty everywhere else. However I'm not too sure how one would get around that, just something I feel might become a problem with this. Perhaps lower the incentives for highest kills, and make highest K/D (above 200 kills at least, so that it's not the guy with 12 kills and 0 deaths who never plays) also a category one can win in. These are just some preliminary ideas though, better ones are probably out there. :P

Its issue of desync. Server stops recieving data as to where the crate is so the crate simply freezes in air. That causes the ropes to stretch too far and snap. That causes crate to fall.

Or worse, ropes dont snap but crate literally bounces back into heli causing it to blow up.

Yeah, something to do with how Exile/Arma deals with desync or lag compensation. At some point I never saw it happen, and then suddenly vehicles are dropping from the sky. I've seen it on several servers, so I do not believe there is anything we can effectively do to stop it I'm afraid. If there is, I'm sure we will look into it. :)

Just to add, I'm not sure why but the slinging on helis seems really weird and I don't know why. As in when slinging anything from a crate to a car it will just release itself from the ropes at some point and fling to its death, even when going really slow

I believe this is an issue within Exile/Arma itself, introduced a good few months ago. You can circumvent this by the pilot being the last person to be in the driver seat of the vehicle you are sling loading, this makes it not as prone to falling. For example, if you are slinging an Offroad with a Taru, the pilot of the Taru has to be the last person who was in the driver seat of the Offroad for the entirety of the flight. People can be in the passenger seats of the Offroad, but can not enter the driver seat, less you want to end up a burning wreck eventually. :P This can not be done with crates however, so they are unfortunately very tricky to sling.

On the topic of rope related suggestions, I would personally like to see "Advanced Rappelling" added. This would allow you to not only rappel off of buildings, but also from helicopters. Would in my opinion be a good addition for Exile.
